Terri Edwards is a board-certified physician assistant with over 25 years of experience. Terri attended Northeastern University, where she graduated with her Master’s Degree in Health Professions with a Certificate in the Physician Assistant Program. She is board-certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed by the Physician Assistant Board of California.
She joined the UMD team to focus on two areas of practice: Integrative Lifestyle Medicine and Integrative Behavioral Health. She is dedicated to helping patients reclaim their health through evidence-based, sustainable practices. With a deep belief in the body’s innate capacity to heal, Terri integrates nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and social connection into personalized care plans that address the root causes of illness—not just the symptoms. Whether guiding someone through chronic disease reversal or optimizing wellness for longevity, Terri empowers individuals to take control of their health with practical tools and lasting support.
In the Integrative Behavioral Health division, Terri will be a team member in the medical management of eating disorders, offering integrative care that honors both the physical and emotional complexities of recovery. With a commitment to patient-centered healing, Terri provides support for individuals navigating anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and other disordered eating patterns. She collaborates closely with therapists, dietitians, and families to create a safe, multidisciplinary environment where healing can take root. Terri lives in Carlsbad with her husband and two dogs. She enjoys Pilates, rebounding, and beach walking.
