Saeid Goshtasbi, MD

GASTROENTEROLOGY

Dr. Saeid Goshtasbi is a board-certified gastroenterologist specializing in liver diseases, including Fatty Liver Disease and Hepatitis B & C. He completed his medical education at Iran University of Medical Sciences before moving to the United States in 2002. Dr. Goshtasbi completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Medical School-Aurora Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, where he served as Chief Resident in 2005. He then completed a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the same institution, followed by an Advanced Endoscopy ERCP Fellowship at UCLA in 2009.

Dr. Goshtasbi has a special interest and focus on treating all liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and colon cancer screenings. In 2018, he pioneered the integration of FibroScan technology into his practice, improving diagnostic and treatment capabilities for Fatty Liver and NASH. He is a compassionate provider who believes in delivering patient-centered care while offering efficient and effective solutions tailored to each individual’s needs.

Before joining United Medical Doctors in 2024, Dr. Goshtasbi practiced at Long Beach Gastroenterology Associates starting in May 2012, after previously practicing in Downey and Lynwood. He is board-certified by the American Board of Gastroenterology and is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
