Norman Bain, MD

RETIRED, GASTROENTEROLOGY

Dr. Norman Bain earned his medical degree at Indiana University. He completed his internship and first year of residency at San Diego University County Hospital. He went on to spend two years in the United States Air Force and after that finished his internal medicine residency at University of California Irvine. His Gastroenterology fellowship was completed at the Long Beach VA hospital.

Dr. Bain is a Diplomat of the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has maintained his certification. He has been an assistant Professor at the University of California Irvine and involved in the training of Gastroenterology fellows.

He has participated in hospital activities including being Director of the Gastroenterology Lab, Chairman of the Gastroenterology Division and serving time on the executive committee and the Institutional Review Board. He is an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association.

He has routinely been elected by his peers as one of the “Best Doctors in America” since 2005.
