Afsan is a Certified Physician Assistant in gastroenterology and is passionate about providing quality care to all patients. As a native to Irvine, she pursued advancing her education locally and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton in 2020. Afsan then found a special interest in the field of gastroenterology and worked as a gastroenterology Medical Assistant for 5 years before earning her Master of Clinical Health Services Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Washington.

Afsan is now a board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Physician Assistant Board of California. In 2023, Afsan joined the United Gastroenterologists team alongside Dr. Dalia Ibrahim and Dr. Brian Lim in the pursuit of improving the health of our communities by setting the standard of excellence in patient care.

Afsan is also bilingual in English and Farsi. In her spare time, she likes to explore new coffee shops, spend time with friends, family and her dog, Nugget.
