Dr. Aaron Lee is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced fellowship-level expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) surgery, complex gastrointestinal oncology, and minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He provides comprehensive surgical care ranging from bread-and-butter general surgery to highly complex pancreatic, liver, biliary, foregut, colorectal, breast, endocrine, and venous procedures. Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and pursued his medical education at the University of North Texas- Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Furthermore, he completed his residency at NYU-Lutheran and his fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Dr. Lee has particular expertise in pancreatic surgery (including Whipple procedures and distal pancreatectomy), liver resections and ablation, complex biliary reconstruction, advanced foregut surgery, and colorectal cancer surgery. He routinely employs minimally invasive and robotic techniques to optimize patient outcomes, reduce recovery time, and enhance surgical precision.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lee is actively involved in surgical education and quality improvement. He serves as the assistant program director for the general surgery residency at Riverside Community Hospital. He serves in academic leadership roles and is committed to evidence-based care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered decision-making. He is known for managing complex surgical conditions while maintaining a thoughtful, compassionate approach to patient care.
