Dr. Huafeng Shen received his medical degree from Zhejiang University in China. After medical school, he went to earn a Masters Degree in Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Shen then moved to Long Island, New York to complete his internal medicine residency at Nassua University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology/Hepatology at the University of Iowa.

His medical interests include treating general gastroenterology and liver conditions, particularly colorectal cancer screening, GERD and other esophageal disorder, motility disorder, functional GI disorder such as, IBS, IBD, and liver disease.

In his personal time, Dr. Shen enjoys watching and playing basketball and spending time with his wife and two kids. Dr. Shen is fluent in Mandarin.
