Patricia Park, MD
ENDOCRINOLOGY
Dr. Patricia Park earned her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Following graduation, she completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She then completed Endocrinology fellowships at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Park is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Adult Endocrinology.
Dr. Park is a native New Yorker and for the past decade, she was an attending physician at Maimonides Medical Center, a large tertiary care hospital in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to a busy clinical practice, she was closely involved in teaching residents and endocrinology fellows. She relocated to the West Coast to be with her husband and joined UMD in July 2022.
She enjoys caring for patients with various endocrinology conditions and strongly believes in shared decision-making with her patients. She is particularly interested in incorporating lifestyle medicine to manage metabolic disorders, including diabetes and obesity. Her goal is to help patients optimize the management of metabolic conditions by using multimodal therapies, including nutrition and lifestyle changes, pharmacotherapies, and other interventions.
She is an active member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
She enjoys an active lifestyle in her spare time, including hiking, traveling, and learning to incorporate plant-based cooking into her family’s diet.
