Dr. Abbass Shafii has been practicing gastroenterology since 1995. During this time, he has taken care of over 100,000 patients and has done more than 50,000 successful endoscopies. Dr. Shafii is passionate about medicine and patient care. He treats each patient as family. He completed his fellowship at Louisiana State University and further postdoctoral training in Asia.

He is interested in preventive medicine and patient education. Dr. Shafii is one the founders and hosts of the lifestyle medicine podcast “2DocsToc”. He sees many patients with different gastrointestinal problems, such as Gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, malnutrition, malabsorption, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, colon polyps and colon cancer.

Dr. Shafii loves farming, the outdoors, spends many hours hiking, snowshoeing and playing pickle ball.
