Dr. Jonathan Lin grew up in Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles, since moving to the United States at the age of 9 with his family to pursue the American dream.
Dr. Lin completed his college education at University of California, Berkeley with double Bachelors degrees in Molecular Cell Biology and Psychology. He then followed up at Berkeley with a Masters degree in Public Health with emphasis in Infectious Diseases. He achieved his medical Doctorate degree at Drexel University College of Medicine (previously Medical College of Pennsylvania - Hahnemann University) in Philadelphia in 2003.
Dr. Lin received his Internal Medicine training at the UCLA Affiliated Training Program and then completed his clinical training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Emory University in Atlanta in 2010. He is trained in all aspects of general digestive disorders as well as specialized areas, including management of inflammatory bowel disease, advanced endoscopic procedures, and liver transplantation. His skills and knowledge are further broadened by his experiences as an urgent care clinic physician and as an executive medical director with a large insurance company.
Dr. Lin believes in an integrated, multi-discipline approach in caring for all of his patients, and he is fluent in Chinese and medical Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys an active outdoors lifestyle and spending time traveling with his dog, Riley.
